From growing up in Johor Bahru and studying in Japan to business leadership, life transitions, and spiritual practice—each chapter has taught me a different way to understand people.
I do not TRY to understand a person through a chart alone. Childhood, education, responsibility, health, and the people we meet all shape how we experience destiny.
Streets, markets, schools, and neighbourhoods were my earliest classrooms. Living among people of different languages and backgrounds taught me to observe character, relationships, and choice.

School activities, music, community groups, and service taught me that human growth always takes place in relationship with others.
Study and life in Japan challenged my assumptions through differences in language, culture, and human relationships. It was a time of seeing the world—and seeing myself again.
Work taught me far more than work itself.
Years in international business and cross-cultural leadership brought me into meeting rooms, factories, and real team conflicts. Leadership is not a title; it is the willingness to carry responsibility after seeing the problem clearly.
Through corporate talks and training, I realised that my deeper purpose was not simply to solve a technical issue, but to help people see the pattern beneath it.
A major health turning point forced me to reconsider life’s priorities. When speed is no longer enough, we begin to ask what is truly worth carrying forward.
Zi Wei Dou Shu offers a map for understanding life. Reflection and practice determine how we walk it. Today, I bring together life, business, and spiritual experience in a quieter and more practical form of guidance.
Wisdom does not arrive all at once.

It began with a wish to give back and to serve others with what life has taught me.
Across more than thirty years in international business and the semiconductor industry, I have seen capable and responsible people lose direction at moments of career transition, relationship strain, or personal change. What holds us back is not always a lack of ability. Often, we have not yet recognised our recurring patterns, our true priorities, or the path we genuinely wish to take.
I founded KAZUMASA / 一菖紫微 to bring together Zi Wei Dou Shu, practical business experience, cross-cultural leadership, and Eastern wisdom. The purpose is not to define a person’s future, but to clarify the present and turn insight from the chart into choices that can be lived.
To understand destiny is not to surrender to it. We understand so that we may choose again.
The character 「一」 represents sincerity carried consistently, a return to one’s original intention, and attention to the present. 「菖」 comes from the sweet flag plant, traditionally associated in East Asian culture with dispelling harmful influences and wishing for peace and well-being. For me, it symbolises clearing the mist so that inner steadiness and clarity can return.
At the heart of KAZUMASA is a sincere conversation: helping each person move from uncertainty to clarity, and from understanding to self-directed choice.
